The builder and analyst decide what to remove, retain with people, automate with code or delegate to AI. One brief produces two designs: one performs the work; the other checks behavior and quality. Filter, Structure and Gate organize the execution design.

Design two harnesses from the same brief.

The developer designs one harness to perform the work and another to test behavior and evaluate quality. Both retain the same acceptance criteria.

Filter: accept only permitted inputs and access.

Define valid sources, identities and versions. Missing information or unauthorized access must stop the task and reach the owner.

Structure: define steps and failure routes.

Specify tools, run state, human handoffs and recovery. Make the path from request to output traceable.

Gate: check behavior, quality and authority.

Tests check behavior. Evaluations score quality against a rubric. The authorized owner approves the exact version for publication.
